How to Add an Event to Your Calendar

Events can be added to a candidate’s calendar automatically through email notifications triggered by test actions such as booking, canceling, rescheduling, or upcoming and expiring assignments. These events help candidates remember important testing dates.

This article explains how these notifications work, which system notifications must be enabled, and how candidates can add events to their calendars.

Enable Notifications (Test Manager’s Perspective)

To ensure candidates receive emails that include calendar events, the following notifications must be enabled in the system:

Test Published

Sends an email notification when a test is booked or when a candidate is assigned by the test manager. This email includes an event that candidates can add to their calendar.

Notification About the Canceled Attempt

Sends an email when a candidate cancels or reschedules a booking.
The email includes an event that helps candidates update their calendar and remove or cross out the previous booking.

Upcoming Assignment Notifications

Reminds candidates of their upcoming test session. This email includes a calendar event in case candidates have not already added it.

Expiring Assignment Reminder

Notifies candidates that their assignment is about to expire. The email also contains a calendar event.

Candidate’s Perspective

Book a Session and Add the Event to a Calendar

When a candidate books a session, the system automatically sends an email with an event file attached.

To add it to the calendar:

  1. Navigate to My tests and locate the desired test.

  2. Click Book a seat

  3. Click the Yes button – this generates an email notification.

  1. Open your email inbox and locate the notification. Click Add to calendar to automatically add the event.

  1. (Optional) Download the attached event file and import it into your calendar manually.

This will ensure your event is added to your calendar.

Alternative: Download Directly From the Application

Candidates can also download the event file without waiting for the email:

  1. Go to My tests.

  2. Click the three dots next to the test.

  3. Select Add to calendar.

  4. Open the downloaded file.

  1. Once opened, the file will display all details of the scheduled event.

 


Cancel a Booking

When a candidate cancels or reschedules, the system sends an updated event so the calendar stays accurate.

To cancel and update the event:

  1. Navigate to My tests.

  2. Find the booked test.

  3. Select Cancel booking.

  1. Check your email for the cancellation notification. Click Add to calendar to remove or update the previously added event.

This will ensure the old booking is crossed out or removed from your calendar, keeping your schedule up to date.
