How to Request an Upgrade for New Features

Application upgrades provide access to the latest version of the application, including new features, improvements, and bug fixes. An upgrade only updates the application version and does not modify, delete, or otherwise affect existing application data.

New Features and Application Upgrades

When a new feature or application version is available, the upgrade process consists of the following steps:

  1. Sandbox Upgrade
The new version is first deployed to the Sandbox environment at a time agreed with the client. No users should be accessing or using the application during the upgrade.
  2. Client Verification
After the Sandbox upgrade, the client verifies the new version and any relevant new features or improvements.
  3. Production Upgrade
Once the Sandbox version has been successfully verified, the Production upgrade can be scheduled.

Production Downtime

The Production upgrade requires approximately 1 hour of downtime. During this period, candidates will not be able to access or complete exams.

The maintenance window should be scheduled outside the client’s peak exam activity whenever possible. If weekends are the busiest exam period, a weekday maintenance window can be selected instead.

The preferred maintenance timeframe should be provided in advance so that the upgrade can be coordinated and the maintenance plan confirmed.

Note: The Production upgrade is performed only after the new version has been upgraded and successfully verified in the Sandbox environment by the client.
