Test-Taking Page Layout: Standard vs. Collapsed View
The test-taking page in YouTestMe offers two layout options that allow instructors to customize the candidate’s test interface for better usability and focus.
In the standard view, a panel is displayed on the right side of the screen, featuring:
- A Progress Bar that visually represents the candidate’s progress.
- The All Questions List, where answered questions are highlighted and unanswered ones remain uncolored.
- This panel also includes a Review List for bookmarked questions.
- When notes are enabled, a Notes section with options to add and view saved notes is added to the panel.
In the collapsed view, this panel is hidden by default to provide a more streamlined test-taking experience. The question list is displayed vertically on the left side of the screen, accompanied by a hamburger menu at the top. When clicked, the menu expands to reveal the same panel found in the standard view, including the progress bar, question list, review list, and notes section.
This feature provides administrators with the flexibility to choose between a detailed interface for enhanced navigation or a simplified layout that minimizes distractions for candidates.
