How to Change the Default Welcome Page Based on User Roles

YouTestMe offers users the capability to customize the welcome page displayed for each user role upon logging in.

This article explains how to change the landing page for users based on their roles in the system. For more details, please watch our video covering this topic.

Configuring the Default Welcome Page Settings

By default, users are directed to the Home page after logging in, regardless of the role assigned to them.

However, changing the default landing page may sometimes be necessary to improve the user experience and provide easier access to frequently used modules.

To change the default welcome page, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to the Users module and select the Roles and Permissions option.
  2. In the Actions column, click the Edit button for the desired role.

  1. In the Role tab, click on the Default Welcome Page dropdown menu, and choose the page you want to display as the welcome page when users log in.

  1. To save the new settings, scroll to the bottom of the Role tab and click on the Update button.

Submitt the changes

 

Users will be directed to the configured default welcome page upon logging in.
