This article explains how to import questions with assigned category values into a question pool using an Excel template.
Before you begin, ensure that the required categories have already been created. Each question can be assigned to multiple categories, as well as multiple values within those categories.

Importing Questions with Assigned Category Values
- From the main menu, navigate to the Tests section, then open the Question Pool tab.
- From the list of pools, select the desired question pool into which you want to import the questions.
- Open the Questions tab.
- Click Import Questions, and choose either the With Images (.zip archive) or Without Images (.xlsx format) option, depending on your preference.

- In the pop-up window, click the Excel Template link to download the template.
Filling Out the Excel Template
After downloading the template, fill it in with the relevant information.

In the Categories (Optional) column, enter the values by writing the category name followed by a colon and its value. If you want to add multiple categories, separate them with a semicolon. For example:
- Difficulty: Easy; Topic: Math
- Difficulty: Hard; Topic: Physics
In the Excel template, the “Categories (Optional)” column should be filled as shown:
Once the template is completed, follow these steps to import the questions:
- From the main menu, navigate to Question Pools and select the desired pool.
- Click the Select file button and choose the completed Excel file.
- Click Upload.
The questions, along with their assigned category values, will then be imported into the selected question pool.
