Introduction
By default, all data related to Guest users, including their test attempts, is deleted when they log out or their session expires. However, this setting can be disabled. This article will explain how to disable Guest data deletion. To learn how to share tests for guest users, please refer to the following article.
Disabling Guest data deletion
To disable Guest data deletion, please refer to the following steps:
- Click on the System on the side menu.
- Open Settings and Customization page.
- Go to User account settings.
- Uncheck the Delete guests users checkbox.
- Click on the Confirm button to save the changes.
How is data saved?
This section of the article explains how data is stored and how to access it when guest users take test attempts, in both scenarios, whether the Delete Guest Users feature is enabled or disabled.
Admin’s view of the Candidates when the Delete Guest Users feature is disabled
If the Delete Guest Users option is disabled, all the Guest users and their test attempts will be saved even if they log out of the application or the session expires. You can view all of the test attempts taken by Guest users by following these steps:
- Click on Tests in the side menu.
- Go to Manage Tests and open the test that was previously taken by Guest users.
- Navigate to the Candidates tab.
- In the Attempts for the test table, you will find the saved data for the attempts made by Guest users.
Admin’s view of the Candidates when the Delete Guest Users feature is enabled
If the Delete Guest Users option is enabled, all the Guest users and their test attempts will be deleted once they log out of the application or the session expires. To view the Candidates tab after enabling the Delete Guest Users feature, do the following:
- Click on Tests in the side menu.
- Go to Manage Tests and open the test that was previously taken by Guest users.
- Navigate to the Candidates tab.
- In the Attempts for the test table, all the data for previously taken attempts of the guest users is deleted.
