How to Log In with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled for your account, you will need to complete an additional verification step after entering your username and password. Depending on your account configuration, this may include setting up 2FA for the first time during your initial login and entering a verification code for all subsequent logins.
First-Time Login When 2FA Is Enabled by an Administrator
When an administrator enables 2FA for your account, you must set up 2FA and link it to an authenticator app on your first login. Follow these steps:
- On the login page, enter your username and password, then click Login.
- You will be redirected to a new window to enable 2FA.
- Open an authenticator app on your device (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Twilio Authy, Duo Mobile, Apple Passkeys).
- Scan the provided QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.
- Click Verify and Activate.
After completing these steps, 2FA will be enabled, and you will be logged into your account securely.
Logging In After 2FA Is Set Up
Once you have completed the initial setup, future logins will require an additional verification step for security.
To log in:
- Enter your username and password on the login page, then click Login.
- A pop-up window will appear asking for a 6-digit verification code.
- Open your authenticator app and retrieve the current code.
- Enter the 6-digit code into the pop-up window.
- Click Verify and log in to complete your login.

When SSO Login Is Required
When SSO (Single Sign-On) login is enabled and you’re required to log in through a different system, attempting to access the application through the standard login page may result in the following warning:
Failed to sign in: You cannot sign in with a username and password. Try to sign in using Single Sign-On.
This message appears when your account is configured to use an SSO method. You cannot log in manually using a username and password on the regular login page. Instead, you must:
- Click the appropriate SSO login button.
- Proceed with your institution’s authentication process.
Best Practices and Tips
- Whenever a user requests a new temporary password, the previous ones automatically expire and cannot be used. It is essential to use the most recent temporary password received, as the previous ones have expired and cannot be used.
- Once you successfully log in, you will be prompted to change your password immediately to enhance the security of your account. For detailed instructions on how to change your password directly within the application, please refer to this article.
- For the best experience, we strongly advise using a PC or laptop and enabling the Show password option to ensure accuracy while entering the password.
