How to Manage Question Versions Efficiently

This article explores multiple question versions, generated after making edits to a question. You’ll discover how to manage them efficiently, view all available versions, and smoothly update questions in your question pool to your desired version.

Editing the question #

To edit a question, do the following:

  1. Select the Tests tab from the left-side menu.
  2. Select the Question pools tab.
  3. Select the Questions tab.
  4. Select the Edit button for the desired question.

After finishing editing the question, select the Save button.

Note: After editing the question, the question ID remains the same. The system generates a new question version ID.

Previewing the question version ID #

After editing the question, all previous versions of the question are saved and have their unique version ID.

To preview all question versions, select the View all versions option.

In the pop-up dialog, you’ll find all versions of the question with their unique IDs, which change whenever a user makes adjustments. The Active column also indicates which of the listed question versions is active.

Updating the question to the desired question version #

You can view the desired question version by clicking on the View option. Additionally, you can change the version of the question you would like to be displayed in the question pool by clicking on the Update to this version option
