This article explains how to assign candidates to a testing session in YouTestMe GetCertified.
Depending on the session settings, candidates can either be assigned manually or allowed to self-enroll. This article will guide you through both methods.
Setting Up Candidate Assignment During Session Creation
During the session creation process, you will reach the Candidates section. Here, you can define how candidates can access the test. There are two main methods:
- Manual Assignment
- Self-Enrollment
Allowing Candidates to Self-Enroll
To let candidates join the session on their own, enable the Allow candidates to self-enroll option. This allows candidates to start the test without being manually assigned.
Once the session is published, the test will automatically appear in the My Exams panel for all users who meet the self-enrollment criteria.
Required Authorization
If the Required authorization option is enabled, only users who receive authorization under the Authorization tab will be able to access the test.
For more details, refer to the article: How to Create Test Authorizations
Who Can Self-Enroll
When self-enrollment is enabled, you can define which group of users is allowed to self-enroll using the Who can self-enroll dropdown menu. The available options are:
- Any user from the application
The test will be visible to all registered users in the system.
- Members of a user group
When this option is selected, an additional dropdown menu will appear. Use it to choose the specific user group whose members will be allowed to see and access the test.
- Members of a training course
When this option is selected, an additional drop-down menu will appear. Use it to choose the specific training course. Only members of that course will be able to see and take the test.
Booking and Retake Pricing
If needed, you can define:
- A Booking price: the cost to initially book the session.
- A Retake price: the cost for each retake attempt.
Specify Seat Booking Options
This option is only available if self-enrollment is enabled.
When the Specify seat booking options is enabled, you can configure detailed seat reservation settings, such as:
- Setting deadlines for booking and cancellation
- Defining the session’s seat capacity
Note: By default, the number of available seats is set to Unlimited. To limit the number of bookings, uncheck the Unlimited box and specify the desired number of available seats.
